A number of changes have been introduced in a review of the Hazardous Waste Regulations which was carried out in 2008. The changes, for example, increase the qualifying limitation to register as a waste carrier and attempt to clarify certain other aspects of the original 2005 Regulations. The changes are effected by the Hazardous Waste (England and Wales)(Amendment) Regulations 2009 (S.I. 2009 No 507). All other requirements of the 2005 Regulations will continue to apply to movements of hazardous waste. Waste Refrigerant is classified as Hazardous Waste.
